Individuals

Opportunities for locals to use your passions, skills, talents and experience to make a difference in their community state park. Individual volunteers greet visitors, conduct tours and help special events, remove invasive plants and beautify varies park areas. No RV site or campsite provided. See park resident or campground host opportunities.

Campground Hosts

Campground hosts live in their RV within the campground. Hosts assist campers by answering questions, maintaining campsites and bathhouses, and are available for late-night emergencies. Receive a free RV campsite in exchange for 24 hours per week per campsite (may split hours between multiple site occupants). Maximum stay is 16 weeks in a 12-month period.

Park Residents

Park residents live in their RV within the park and not in a campground. Opportunities require special skills in customer service, vehicle maintenance or construction. Receive a free RV campsite in exchange for 24 hours per week per campsite (may split hours between multiple site occupants). Maximum stay is 16 week in a 12-month period.

Groups

Family, community, scouting, corporate, employee, church and student groups are invited to get outdoors for short-term opportunities. Team projects include beach clean-ups, invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, special events and more. Parks often have opportunities for Earth Day, International Coastal Cleanup, National Public Lands Day, Make a Difference Day and more.

Citizen Support Organizations

Join a group of super passionate park supporters! Also known as Friends Groups, the purpose of a Citizen Support Organization (CSO) is to operate a nonprofit organization to assist a park accomplish its goals. These organizations are made up dedicated volunteers who raise funds, increase community awareness and support special events that benefit a parks and park visitors.
